Mission
This studio will provide space for local artists to edition their prints and
books for a modest monthly rental fee. Acceptance will be based on portfolio
review and the artist’s ability to work well with others. An independent
space in the studio (The Always Gallery) will sell work on commission. The
gallery will have regularly scheduled exhibitions by students and established
artists. Classes and workshops in printmaking, drawing, book arts and a variety
of other related educational programs shall be offered to the public. Internships
will be available to local college students to help with collaboration and
editioning projects undertaken by printers and artists. Artists working with
Adamson Editions may choose to work in the traditional techniques offered
by Union Printmakers atelier. They may choose to combine the traditional with
the digital. The studio aspires to make available the opportunity for student/interns
to witness these choices.
